No matter how hard we try to protect horses from the hazards of the wet and muddy conditions of winter, such as Mud Fever and Rainscald, or cracked hooves caused by the summer opposite of hot and dry weather conditions, some horses are more susceptible to the development of skin irritations and cracked heels than others. 

The combination of Aloe, Calendula, Tea Tree and Witch Hazel will help repair, strengthen and soothe the skin whilst the salve acts as a barrier cream. Can also be used as a protector if applied on minor wounds after using the Aloe, Kunzea and Tea Tree Gel.

Note:
We recommend using the Tea Tree Shampoo to cleanse the skin when treating for Mud Fever, rainscald etc (not cracked heels or where there is an open wound). Rinse and dry the skin very thoroughly and then apply a thin layer of Tea Tree and Kunzea Gel before applying the Winter Skin and Cracked Heel salve liberally over the affected area.
