| For bruising, rheumatic pain, inflammation and concussion injuries for equines and humans. Apply liberally before, during and after exercise, particularly if horses have been jumping and competing in any sport that takes a toll on the legs. Also useful when travelling horses (under travel boots/bandages - although do not leave bandaged overnight). It is also excellent as a leg cooler if kept in the refrigerator or cool box. Ancient herbal healers traditionally used Comfrey for centuries as an invaluable aid to support good health. It is also often used with horses experiencing joint discomfort and as a general support to damaged skin, tissue and bone. Hence, its country name of 'knitbone'. Arnica is renowned for its healing ability and to ease bruising and general soreness. Arnica gel can be used in conjunction with homeopathic Arnica tablets, which should be taken orally in the appropriate dosage and Arnica & Comfrey Bruise Ease Gel applied to the injury. The two work synergistically to promote healing. Particularly useful for treating the human foot that's been 'hoofed' or for injuries sustained in a fall. Caution note: Arnica has a natural blistering effect and may cause burning if horse are bandaged for prolonged periods. Therefore we do not recommend that the leg is bandaged overnight once the gel is applied. |
